Hooray! We’ve made it to Day 6 of Cake Week! We’ve had five fabulous days of Cake Week, so it seems only right to do a little re-cap:
Monday started the cakey insanity with Raspberry Filled Vanilla Cupcakes with Milk Chocolate Buttercream.
Mads @ La Petite Pancake celebrated Valentine’s Day with her heart shaped Chocolate Lava Cake o’ Love. Fact: I am totally wanting a heart shaped cake pan, now.
Jeanne @ Inside NanaBread’s Head kept the momentum going with her Ice Cream Cakelettes, which happen to be coated with a crispy layer of Magic Shell. So seriously cute.
Kat @ Tenaciously Yours really got the party started with her Funfetti Mini Bundt Cakes–which she made from scratch. Look out! Kat’s officially a Baking Force to be Reckoned With!
Allison @ Decadent Philistines baked up some love for her coonhound and a local animal rescue with her gluten-free Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Pupcakes with Tofu and Pumpkin Icing.
So how do we finish a strong week of glorious cakes? Well, I’m not going to say that we saved the best for last because I truly enjoyed all that Cake Week offerings, but Megan @ Country Cleaver? She mentioned that she wanted to make a Rose Cake for Cake Week. Perfect! we thought. Girlfriend is a Wilton Method Cake Decorating Instructor…we should have known that she would really outdo herself.
I KNOW!
Megan created this too-gorgeous-for-words Ombre Rose Cake. When I saw the photos, I was literally speechless. Let me tell you–that cake speaks to my inner-princess! She also has a hilarious story about her first taste-tester of the cake. HILARIOUS. Promise me that you will click on over to pay Megan a visit and see how she actioned her beautiful cake.
Our Cake Week Link Party will be open for the remainder of today. Please take a minute to link your favorite cake and/or vote for your favorite cake on the link-up.

That is one sugar-filled week!
Very fun!!
You really can’t go wrong with cake.
You can probably guess that the Chocolate Lava Cake of Love is totally up my alley, but oh my goodness, that rose cake looks amazing! Not only pretty, but looks oh so yummy, too. Reminds me of wedding cake, and I want a piece!!
I agree that the ombre rose cake would make a fantastic wedding cake.
Love all of the cakes–such a fun week.
But now I’m getting really excited for SALAD week–no idea when we’re doing it, but can’t wait to hear all about it.
Aloha!
Seems only right like we yin the yang that’s been going on.
That is one beautiful cake! I could never pick a favorite, but I’m on my way to read Megan’s story.
Just back from Megan’s blog … how did I miss that it was your birthday on Saturday? Hope it was great!
I had a wonderful day. Thanks, Beth!
I swear I just swooned when I got to the picture of Megan’s cake.
Seriously! Whatever you do, don’t show it to your baby girl, or you’ll never get out of replicating it for her birthday.
Megan’s cake is beautiful! Happy belated birthday, glad to hear that you enjoyed your day.
Thank you, Paula!
