Just a bit of randomness about me today. Kind of fits with my scattered frame of mind right now. I’m sorry if you are disappointed! A promise a yummy cookie recipe is coming very soon.
- I used to be a hyper-organized “planner.” Now everything is a mess, and I’m lucky to brush my teeth and get in a shower each day. I’m OK with that.
- Professional Bull Riding is my favorite sport. Right there next to soccer. And hockey, college football, and curling.
- I like to bake. Often. I like to eat my creations even more.
- I am named for my Grandmother: an inspiring, phenomenal woman.
- I love having a house full of guests for the weekend.
- I’m all about Comfort Food. Lemon Curd makes me happy.
- I have a thing for cows. Weird, I know. Holsteins and Belted Galloways are the coolest looking cows around.
- Growing up, friends of ours had a Jersey cow named “Big Brownie,” that I would lean against in the field. We were BFFs.
- I will write a novel. It’s up there, I’m just not sure what it will be.
- Angry-rocker-chick music is my guilty pleasure. I would have been an angry-rocker-chick if not for the whole singing-on–stage-in-front-of-a-crowd thing. Oh yeah, and having to be angry all the time would kind of suck.
- I like just about any music when it is played live.
- Knitting is like therapy to me. I like the creative process and communing with generations of women through the art. I enjoy teaching others to knit for the same reasons.
- I am a Great Lakes/freshwater girl. I don’t swim in salt water because I just know that I will get eaten by a shark. A big, scary, ravenously ferocious shark.
- I love snow, unless my car is stuck in it.
- I believe in God. He believes in me.
- I love good fiction. I read it voraciously, but I read non-fiction as you would a magazine. I always have a stack of books that I am reading at the same time. The stack of “on-deck” books is exponentially larger.
- I believe in ghosts, aliens, and the supernatural. We can all co-exist peacefully as long as I just don’t have to see or feel any of them. I feel the same about spiders in my house.
- I think it’s ironic that I wanted to be an English Professor but I was talked out of it for a “high paying” career, and now I have a “no paying” career.
- I appear to be very laid back, but I am really like a duck swimming on the water: calm on the surface and going like crazy underneath.
- I love hearing my kids laugh.
- I am considered to be the quiet one, but most of my friends are loud.
- I think that age is irrelevant. Maturity counts. Like the saying “Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.”
- The older I get, the more comfortable I am.
- I feel very centered and humbled when I am out in nature. Me hiking in the woods with my iPod = Priceless! Startling the occasional animal really gets the heart pumping.
- I am so Blessed and thankful for my life, each and every day.
- I think there is a lot to be said for good karma.
