Weekly Menu Plan 148 is a nice balance of fancy, weeknight friendly and comfort food for Valentine’s Day, along with two tempting desserts for your loves.
Love is in the air! Well, to be honest, snow is in the air here Up North, but it’s absolutely lovely! Also lovely is this Weekly Menu Plan 148. The Dinner Divas have plenty of menu ideas to make for your loves. Take a look:
Comfort food reigns on Monday with Jenni/Pastry Chef Online’s Hamburger Macaroni Casserole. It’s just like the iconic box mix dinner, but better because this one is made from scratch. Pair it with a simple garden salad, and dinner is served!
Tuesday is a great night to enjoy appetizers for dinner, and Erin/The Speckled Palate’s Steak Bruschetta with French Onion Marmalade is a good choice. Perfectly crisped bread with caramelized onion marmalade, toasty cheese, and tender slices of steak is a hearty appetizer that eats like a meal. Pair it with cheesy asparagus spirals for a perfectly nosh-able meal.
If there is something more enticing than a gentle pile of fresh pasta, then I want to meet it. Cheryl/Pook’s Pantry kicks that up a notch by tossing it with a buttery sauce and tender langostinos. (Think tiny lobsters!) Her elegant Langostino Pasta pairs beautifully with a heel of crusty artisan bread to sop up all of that buttery goodness.
I’m bringing the steakhouse on home with my Sirloin Steaks with Creamy Onion Sauce. I’m not gonna lie–I ate half of the sauce straight out of the pan with a spoon before the steaks even hit the table–it’s just that good. If you do the same, I’ll never tell!
Friday night pizza night just got tastier with Jenni’s Sausage Gravy Pizza. You heard me. Sausage. Gravy. Pizza. I’m a big fan of sausage gravy, so to smear it on pizza is a genius move.
For a fancy Valentine’s Day dessert, try Cheryl’s gorgeous Dark Chocolate Cake. The rich and decadent cake pairs with a sweet red wine ganache that will have you thinking about this dessert for weeks to come.
For something a little more whimsical, my Red Velvet and Vanilla Marble Cupcakes are always a crowd pleaser. I HIGHLY recommend topping these little cuties with creamy swirls of real milk chocolate buttercream frosting. Amen.
That’ll do it for this week, Friends. We hope that you enjoy the Weekly Menu Plan 148!
Happy Valentines Day!
