Weekly Menu Plan 109 features grilled favorites, a great salad, gluten free pizza, and some carbalicious extras that are sure to please!
Memorial Day is coming in hot–just a week away. With that in mind the Dinner Divas are serving up a few of our grilled favorites, along with a summery salad and appetizer, and a few extra carbs thrown in for good measure. Check out what’s on the menu this week:
Cheryl/Pook’s Pantry brings a little fun to the grill with her Grilled Lamb Loin Chops. Aren’t they adorable? They look like tiny t-bone steaks! Try serving them alongside a refreshing Cucumber Watermelon Salad with Feta and Mint for a simple dinner to kick off the work week.
On Tuesday, I suggest making these super simple Grilled Pork Steaks. Have you ever had a pork steak? They grill up in flash and come out tender and juicy anytime. The marinade is made with minimal ingredients, and is easily customizable with what you have on hand. We love ’em!
Jenni/Pastry Chef Online gets us through Hump Day with a glorious looking Bacon Double Cheeseburger. She smashes the meat on a hot skillet and a gloriously crispy caramelization-type thing happens. I like them with my Baked Potato Wedges.
I can always count on Erin/The Speckled Palate to lighten things up at just the right time. Her Chicken, Strawberry, and Apple Salad does just that on Thursday. I recommend that this refreshing salad be served with some freshly squeezed Lavender Lemonade.
Friday night is made for pizza, and Cheryl’s Hash Brown Crust Pizza does it in style with it’s crispy, gluten free crust! Serve it with a Garden Black Bean Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette to round out the meal.
I don’t think it’s too Extra to have a few dinner rolls on hand for any meal. Jenni’s Garlic Chive Potato Rolls are so soft and tender that I could easily slather butter on them and make a meal out of the rolls alone. You can too. I won’t tell!
What’s better than a good and toasty bruschetta? Why toasted angel food cake topped with pudding and fresh berries for dessert! Erin is sharing a bonus recipe this week for her Patriotic Strawberry Bruschetta. This is such a fun and festive dessert to serve at barbecues with a load of friends!
That’ll do it for the Weekly Menu Plan 109, Friends!
