Fun and Blogger Games

Those of you on facebook may be periodically tagged to write a note or answer questions, then tag your friends to do likewise. It’s a game, and a fun way to amuse yourself and get to know your friends a little better. Well, I have just discovered that the bloggers do much the same type of thing. Who knew? And how fun is that?!

My blogger friend from Greece, Katerina over at Culinary Flavors, was tagged in an eight 4 eight game, and asked if any of us wanted to participate. Well, of course I did! Games are kind of my thing. Ha! I’m playing a blog game with a blogger friend from Greece. Don’t you just love technology?

So here are the questions posed to me by Katerina. If you are a blogger and would like to join in our reindeer games, tell me so in the comments section, and I’ll come up with a few questions for you.

1. Tell me three things that come to your mind when you hear the word Greece.
My BFF Becky, who is Greek and makes awesome food. (Love ya, Becks!)
Beautiful countryside.
Stuffed grape leaves, because they could be the only thing I ate for the rest of my life, and I would be happy.
2. What do you believe you gain from blogging?
I knew that blogging would be a really fun outlet for me, but I am amazed at all of the wonderful people and blogs that blogging has introduced me to.  I really enjoy writing down my random musings and sharing my recipes. I am thrilled (read: amazed) that people actually read them!
3. What is the first place you would like to visit outside the United States?
I’d like to do a UK tour, with a stop in Denmark to see my family.
4. What is your most famous dish, the one that you think you rock?
Gosh, I don’t know. I’ve gotten compliments on a few things, but I think my friends know me for baked sweets. So I’d have to say my Yankee Sheet Cake, or Chocolate Chip Cookies.
5. What is your biggest fear?
Would you like that list alphabetized or categorical?  I am convinced that if I swim in the deep ocean, Jaws will eat me. Fact.
6. What are your dreams for your children?
I want them to be good, Christian men that follow their passions.  Their dreams are my dreams for them.
7. What is your most favorite sweet?
Here’s where I have trouble. I like them all. But, you’ll never see me turn away a molten chocolate cake. Ever.
8. If you weren’t what you are what would you like to be?

Geez, Katerina! Your tough! 😉 I’ve always felt that you are where you are meant to be. I’m just a passenger on this ride. But, I suppose that I always envisioned myself as a college English professor. On a farm in the country. With a big red barn. And Holstein cows.  Is that even possible?

  1. I LOVE that picture of the little soccer team! I definitely have to agree that I am astonished by the community that blogging builds. Not only that people read my blog, but it is so fascinating to read what others so far away think! And then, really, it makes me feel like none of us are that far away at all.

  3. I also enjoyed reading your answers and thought your fear of Jaws was very funny--but totally understandable. I didn't used to mind swimming in the sea or ocean when I was little, but something happened when I became a teenager and now I get the eeby-jeebies thinking about all the sea creatures I might encounter (namely, jelly fish--hate those things!).

  5. I really enjoyed reading your answers. They make me understand more about you. Regarding your dream, well, who knows perhaps you will get to live it through your children, but even if you will not it doesn't matter. You grow a nice, healthy family and this is, for me, the most difficult and most important task one can accomplish in life.
