Cookies and cream cheesecake is a delicious explosion of cookies and cheesecake. It’s the creation of my dear blogging friend, Carrie.
This is Carrie of Bakeaholic Mama fame. Isn’t she just so flippin’ adorable? Carrie’s a fellow rabid baker and a mother of three from New Hampshire. We met online a couple of years ago, and became fast friends. Carrie’s good people.
I say that for certain because we’re good friends in real life, too. We met at the airport in Atlanta on our way to Mixed last fall. She didn’t so much as bat an eyelash when I emailed to ask if she was going, and if she wanted to be my roommate–even though we’d never met in person. That’s just how bloggers act. We “get” each other and don’t think it is the least bit odd for a virtual total stranger to ask to fly across the country together.
You know, because that’s not weird or anything.
By the way…Carrie and I made that watermelon cake together under the tutelage of Duff-freaking-Goldman! Yep, Mr. Ace of Cakes himself taught us the finer points of airbrushing a fondant-covered cake.
He may or may not have also taught us a few choice phrases to utter when the airbrush clogs or the fondant is all melty from being refrigerated.
Carrie just started a new series on her blog in which she interviews a different food blogger each Wednesday, and features her spin on one of their recipes.
Today Carrie is featuring an interview with me (!!) and her spin on my Positively Perfect Cheesecake–with her cookies and cream cream cheese buttercream. I’m giddy and flattered all at the same time. And a little freaked out nervous.
Please do me a huge favor Friends, and pop on over to Carrie’s place to get the cookies and cream cheesecake recipe.
Oh, and read the interview while you’re there, too. I’d surely appreciate it.
Then be sure to come back and see me again tomorrow. Bundt cake will be a factor.
